File Sharing: You can enable access on up to 2 devices (for example, your computer for trip planning and your phone during your trip).

Due to the limited download options (only two devices, only smartphone/tablet) the App is not handy to use on a motorbike. I will not attach my 1000$ iphone to the handlebar while driving offroad. The camera certainly breaks, not to speak of the risk of other fatal dangers. A cheaper phone would work but in rain/sunlight/ vibration etc it is also not easy to follow any track on the small screen. And then: my travelcompanion would like to know the track too – without having to pay another 50€ (it seems its not possible to buy the tracks alone?) for book and tracks.
Conclusion: good for cars, only medium ok for motorbike.

Everything regarding our access policy is detailed on our website, but we’d love to clarify a few points to help you and your companion:
– Sharing with your companion: As you mentioned, your purchase includes access for 2 devices. This means you can absolutely install the app on your phone and on your travel companion’s phone using the same account. There is no need to pay twice for both of you to follow the track.
– Pricing clarification: We don’t actually have a product at €50. For Kyrgyzstan, the standalone Ebook is €32.90, the GPS tracks are €30, and the complete Bundle (Ebook + GPS) is €44.90. We believe this is a very fair price for what you get: a 416-page guide built on 10 years of field research by our team, combined with a premium app featuring offline 3D maps and real-time updates.
– Motorbike usage & Futures updates: We completely understand the hesitation to mount a $1000 iPhone on the handlebars off-road (vibrations can indeed damage the camera sensors). Many motorbike riders currently use our app as a complementary tool, installing it on a second, rugged budget phone or an Android tablet dedicated to the bike.
However, we hear you! To make the experience seamless for riders, we are currently working on a native integration for Garmin GPS devices and DMD2 for next year, so you will be able to run our maps directly on dedicated hardware.
