Part of the Rub Al Khali desert covers the center of the country, and several mountain ranges, including Jebel Ach-Chams, stretch along the north and southeast coasts.<\/p>\n<p>A few asphalted roads cross the country, linking the major cities (Muscat, Nizwa, Salalah). While some will love riding their motorcycles on asphalt, it&#8217;s on the small tracks that criss-cross the country that you&#8217;ll find the most beautiful scenery!  <strong>For access to remote and wild areas, a trail bike fitted with off-road tires with a minimum road\/off-road ratio of 50\/50 is a must.  <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Wild camping is permitted throughout <\/strong>the country, so you can enjoy a starry sky free of light pollution.
